There are also some longer-term activities which are available to children from our school. Children who participate in these activities can usually join at various times during school and should be able to continue to take part in them when they leave our school at the end of Year 6. Please contact Mr Norman if you are interested in any of these. They are long term activities which require a regular commitment and a bit of support.
MUSIC
Children who are interested in music can take advantage of our school youth orchestra and evening/Saturday music lessons. Information about this can be seen on the club website. Click here to see information about St Paul's Youth Orchestra
GYMNASTICS
Children who are interested in gymnastics can join the Village School Gym Club. This is run by Mr Norman at Plympton. We collect the children from the school car park at 10.10am (returning around 12.30pm) on Saturday mornings and at 6.10pm (returning around 8.30pm) on Monday evenings. The children are taken to The Ridgeway School, where the club runs and they are returned at the end of the session. Click here to see information about The Village School Gym Club This is a serious gym club activity which aims to prepare the children to compete in competitions and displays. It is most suitable for the brave, sporty types.
Email Mr Norman, if you need more information about either of these clubs.
DARTMOOR, COUNTRY AND COASTAL WALKS
These take place from time to time and each one is usually suitable for a particular age or ability of child. The children will normally receive a letter when a trip which is suitable for them, is about to take place.
